Many manufacturers did not provide the necessary control inputs and output sockets to their synths to allow them to be controlled by an external device. Fitting a Kenton upgrade can greatly enhance the use of your synth and expand its possibilities for use with your other equipment.
In addition to the sockets themselves, the sockets kits feature the necessary interface circuit board, which is fitted inside the synth.
The features available from installing a socket upgrade vary according to the synth, but typically allow CV oscillator control, filter and the keyboard gate. Refer to the individual upgrade information for details for that model.
